Amidst the COVID19 pandemic, Kigali successfully hosted the Presentation of African Development Award – PADEV awards at Kigali Marriot between11-13 October 2020. At a colorful event comprised of Men and Women from across Africa, who were recognized for their unwavering contributions in boosting the development of African countries through the establishment of a culture of work, merit and excellence as one of the cardinal values of African society.

The PADEV Prize was created in 2006 in Abidjan by civil society organizations from 12 African countries united around the FONDATION 225 (Burkina Faso) and SAFAM COM INTERNATIONAL (Côte d´Ivoire). Their common goal is to help boost the development of African countries through the establishment of a culture of work, merit and excellence as one of the cardinal values of African society. To achieve this, they chose to promote the works of moral and legal persons who excel in their respective sectors of activity, so that they serve as models for others.
