The expansion of Legacy Clinics & Diagnostics kicked off Saturday February 1, 2020 with a soft groundbreaking ceremony presided over by the Chairman, Mr Jean Malic Kalima along with other senior management staff, doctors and engineers of the contracted construction company Rwacom Investment Group.

This is the second phase, and according to Mr Kalima, it will comprise of fully fledged departments such as Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Urology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, two operation theatres, an admission wing with 65 beds, an intensive care unit, and a maternity ward among others “We are very optimistic that this development will elevate us to an inpatient hospital status”

The construction works will take exactly 12 months, and is expected to be inaugurated in January 2021.

Mr Malic added that following the successful implementation of phase one that involved the establishment of a highly specialized Clinics Plaza, Radiography department, Dental Lab and Diagnostics department, and a state-of-of-the art laboratory, it became inevitable to expand the medical facility ; given the increasing number of patients. Although the business plan projected to handle about 250 patients a day, it currently handles over 600.

Legacy Clinics & Diagnostics is a private Out Patient Clinics, operating from 7am to 9pm, 7 days a week. It is a one-stop-centre of an array of medical services supported by the state-of-the-art medical laboratory, imaging department and a highly specialized Clinical Plaza and a Dental Clinics and Diagnostics.
